PARKER F11/F12 was first produced in 1968 by Volvo Flygmator AB. Till now, it is still going strong and widely used in mobile hydraulic areas. F11/F12 motors are fixed displacement and bi-directional, they can be used as motors in very demanding and really touch applications. Besides that, F11/F12, they are efficient, saving energy. They can operate on common hydraulic fluids as well as on biodegradable and fire-resistant fluids.

Thanks to low-weight pistons with laminated piston rings, the F11/F12 has a low internal leak age, which is capable of very high speeds, tolerates temperature shocks, and can accept low-viscosity fluids.
Thanks to the spherical piston end which is well secured and lubricated in the corresponding shaft cavity, even when being subject to severe hydraulic and mechanical shocks, the piston stays in place. See the picture below, the piston can be made with a very small diameter ‘waist’.

Thanks to the 40° angle between shaft and cylinder barrel, the F11/F2 is compact and lightweight with small installation dimensions.

Because of the sturdy timing gear between shaft and cylinder barrel, the F11/F12 tolerates rapid speed variations and high vibration levels.
Because of the low-friction piston rings and piston ball end bearing surface the F11/F12 has the highest take-off and running torque with a minimum of energy loss.

Benefiting from these advantages, the F11/F12 can be applicated in very special tough environments.

The vibratory hammer

The vibratory hammer utilizes a number of hydraulic motors driving counter-rotating eccentrics that produce an up-and-down motion that forces the pile down into the ground. The drive unit (motor, eccentrics, and connecting gears) is attached by springs to a frame which in turn is wire suspended in a crane. The hydraulic motor must consequently withstand very heavy shaking. F11/F12 motors are very common in this application, such as F12-060, F12-090, F12-110 motors are usually used together with the vibratory hammer.

Forest machines

This ‘full-tree harvester’ cuts the tree at the root, fells it, delimbers it, and cuts it into suitable lengths. The logs are then transported to a plant for further processing into planks or paper pulp. A forest machine puts very high demands on availability, reliability, and easy servicing. F11-MUVL motors can match good with this application environment.

Pile drivers

Compared to the old falling weight’ method, the modern hydraulic vibratory hammer is much lighter, faster, and quieter with low operating and maintenance costs. Pile drivers are utilized for foundation jobs and also in built-up areas and off-shore/underwater work. Such as F12-040, F12-060, F12-080, F12-090, F12-110 motors are usually used together with the vibratory hammer.
